In the picturesque region of the Central Bohemian Uplands lies Třebívlice. This is one of the oldest wine-growing regions in the Czech Republic, where the wine tradition started in year 1057 and continues still.

Our winery’s patron is Baroness Ulrike von Levetzow. The story of her young love for German poet Johann W. Goethe, who was two generations older, is also reflected in our wines and also bottle vignettes . Freshness and joy combine with maturity and experience.

Geological richness offer wide spectrum of flavours to discover. In the region we have both limestone and basalt soil so one variety and vintage can give two unique samples to compare.

Careful and gentle handwork as well as the latest technology give us the opportunity to serve you the best wines made by cellar master – enologist Mr. Ing Martin Nesvadba.

We loved our tour and can’t say enough good things about it. A driver picked us up and took us to Johann W winery. The scenery in this agricultural part of the country is beautiful. We were met at the winery by Peter, one of the managers of the winery. He started us off with a wine tasting and then gave us a full tour of the winery. After the tour we headed off to see one of the vineyards. The vineyard was followed by a typical Czech lunch at a local pub. Then we went to a second vineyard and saw some more beautiful scenery. After this we returned to the winery, met up with our driver and returned to Prague. It was a fabulous day that far exceeded our expectations.

Beautiful drive through amazing farm land and the winery although young it’s very impressive. Petro gave us a very educated and detailed wine tasting. The lunch and the drive to vineyards was very pleasant and a special treat. His wife is very knowledgeable in languages so it was a very pleasant and educational visit. We will definitely visit again next time in Prague.
