The exhibit was exceptional, I learned so much about how and why burgundy and the climats are connected to the quality of the wines they produce. The exhibit is on the ground floor. The 5th floor offers a view of the surrounding. The 4th floor has the tour tasting and a restaurant where you can try various parings.

We stopped here on your way back from skiing as a convenient lunch spot between Bourg Saint Maurice and our overnight in Reims. It's just off the toll road so easy to get to. We had lunch first and we were the only people dining! Lunch is only between noon and 2PM so get your timing right. The lunch was excellent with small plates with a wine to accompany each dish. Obviously driving meant we couldn't partake (much). The food was delicious. Then we did the museum. It was a bit confusing to start with but once we worked out the syncing of the audio guide it turned out to be really interesting. You need to allow more than an hour, nearer two, to go round. Included was a small tasting at the end so we drew straws to see who was driving the rest of the way. Well worth the visit especially if staying locally. A small shop with what looked like wine shops near by. We're not sure if what was on the menu were available to buy.

This would be a good starting spot to visit the Beaune/Côte d’Or/Bourgogne région. You learn the history of the region with a focus on winemaking. Wine tasting included in your admission. English audio guide is available. The only problem was the ticket cost more than the website posted.

Visited May 18,2026. Arriving at the Train station from Dijon, had to walk 15 mins to Tourist info in town. To find out will take 30 mins to walk to Cite. No public transport this time of the year and no Uber either. Information was kind to help us call a taxi, but could not get one. So we had to walk in the rain to the Cite. Same experience on return. During off season, for this without a car, very challenging to walk especially seniors. Some sort of public transport, a bus at least or taxi would help. This put a dampener on the visit. The Cite itself had interesting info on the Climat and Terroirs which influenced the wine quality.

Great experience! Took one of the tasting workshops, which lasts about one hour. Learned about wine tasting in classroom type of setting. Expert goes through every detail on how to assess a wine. Offered in French and English. Beautiful new modern facilities, opened in June 2023. Highly recommended!

A small dining and refreshment area is needed in the lower part to make the place more lively. Beautiful exterior but lacking in life or much too large
