The Côte de Beaune (pronounced “coat duh bone”) is the southern part of the Côte d’Or, the heartland of Burgundy, France. While its northern counterpart, the Côte de Nuits, is predominantly known for its exceptional Pinot Noir reds, the Côte de Beaune is particularly celebrated for its world-class white wines made from Chardonnay, though it also produces significant and excellent red Pinot Noirs.
