The day begins with a traditional breakfast at our charming Vinho Verde estate, featuring local delicacies like hot smoked meat, cheese, and fresh bread, all perfectly paired with a selection of our famous Vinho Verdes, including White, Red, and Espadal varieties.
Your adventure then continues to our stunning property in the heart of the Douro Valley. The highlight of the day is a spectacular chef’s lunch, a culinary experience that celebrates the best of Douro Valley cuisine through a farm to table approach. This memorable lunch, served in a fully air-conditioned room with breathtaking views of the Douro River, is expertly paired with a selection of our finest wines. The day culminates in a serene and relaxing private boat cruise on the Douro River. Beforehand, you’ll have some free time to explore the picturesque village of Pinhão. Then, you’ll board our private boat with drinks in hand and be treated to a guided nautical tour. August 10, 2025 at 8:50 pmWhat a fun tour! We have been on wine tasting tours all over the world, and this one was by far the most generous (unlimited wine and plenty of tasty snacks) and fun. Our guide, Jorge, was the perfect combination of knowledgeable and entertaining. The winemaker at the winery in Vinho Verde was super passionate, and even though neither my husband or I loved the wines, we enjoyed learning about the local grapes/wine and his unique wine-making process. The boat ride was fantastic, with scenery that can’t be beat and sparkling wine to make it even more special. At our final stop, we were treated like family, encouraged to make ourselves at home poolside before being served tasty local snacks and as much wine as we wanted. The sunset over the vineyards, valley and Douro River was stunning. The bus was clean and comfortable, and the trip back to Porto was fun as Jorge played music that most everyone enjoyed singing along to. All in all, a fantastic day. Highly recommend!

August 9, 2025 at 8:52 pmAbsolutely phenomenal tour, the best we have had here in Portugal! Paulo was a great guide with a great personality and lots of knowledge. The bus driver was probably the best I have ever encountered, handling the bus with precision on crazy small curvy roads of the Douro Wineyard region. The two stops were really nice. The first stop, visiting the purely organic vineyard with a great sampling of their wine. Beautiful young wines, in glass and porcelain for the red. The food to accompany the wine was 3 different selections of sausages, cooked on a hot pan, roasted peppers, cheese and bread. The wines and sausages were available for purchase. I got a bottle and 2 sausages. Next stop, the family vineyard that runs the tour, we were greeted with a sampling of wines and then dinner. A great dinner with soup, pork chops, vegetables and an apple cake for desert. All with as much wine as I wanted, red, white or both. I am out of space unfortunately but take this tour, it is the best!!!!

August 7, 2025 at 8:54 pmWe had an amazing day, Rueben our guide was excellent with so much knowledge of the area and the ports and wines we were tasting. There was plenty of wine and our glasses were constantly being refilled at lunch and on the boat cruise. Lunch was a delicious vegetable soup, followed by roast pork and vegetables and dessert was apple cake. There was an option of Codfish for lunch or a vegetarian option. Trying Green Wine for the first time was interesting and some Tapas was available with this as well. Overall a really nice way to spend a day seeing the countryside in the Douro wine region near Porto!! 5 Stars!!

August 6, 2025 at 8:55 pmHad a brilliant day in the Duoro Valley. Our guide Diego was exceptional, his knowledge of wine was superb all delivered in an entertaining style. He kept us amused in between our journeys. Do not be put off by the big bus as each winery is exclusive to your tour. Small family run wineries with lovely welcomes, fabulous food and plenty of great wines to try. All rounded off with a relaxing boat trip at the end if the day. It was exceptionally hot the day we went and our guide and driver made sure to keep us hydrated with water and shady spots. This trip is a must if visiting Porto, the views alone make it worthwhile.

His passion for his country, the people, and all things vino/vineyard related was contagious to those of us that had the pleasure of meeting him and having him as our guide. Learning all about the winemaking process, being able to sample each of their fabulous wines, eating the best farm fresh to the table dinner, with a stunning view and sunset, and the beauty of the countryside were well worth every penny spent! A special thanks to our driver who drove that bus like a champ! 10/10 highly recommend!!!
