2 years agoMy family and I had a wonderful experience with our guide Daniel at Maison Champy. The visit was extremely organized and informative, and I am so thankful that this was the first visit we took in the Burgundy region, as their explanation of the appellations is the best I heard anywhere. I particularly appreciated Daniel’s explanation of how to match the appellation of the wine to the label, as no other tour mentioned this and it was very practical information to know as I visited wine shops in the area. The tasting was very pleasant, as was the wine itself. Their tasting room had a lot of natural light, unlike tastings that take place in the wine cellars themselves, so we were able to well see the color of the wine we were tasting. I would recommend anyone visiting the Burgundy region to make Maison Champy their first tour and tasting in the region.

9 months agoWe participated in a tour and tasting at Maison Champy. My partner and I enjoyed it a lot, and we gained a lot of knowledge about the vineyard and wines in general. The tasting afterwards was a very nice and interesting experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and she made the information comprehensible for two newbies when it comes to wines. Seeing the cellars was very impressive! Also, there are structures designed by the architect Gustav Eiffel in the winery, an unexpected surprise!
