The Tour
Embark on a captivating and meticulously planned full-day guided tour from San Francisco that seamlessly blends the natural majesty of Muir woods, towering redwoods with the refined pleasures of world-class wine tasting. This Muir Woods, Napa & Sonoma Valley Wine Tour about 11-hour excursion offers the perfect balance of peaceful forest exploration and indulgent wine experiences, all in a single, well-organized journey. Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from San Francisco, where you’ll be treated to a spectacular crossing of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge, venturing beyond the city limits into the serene Marin County.

The first and most breathtaking stop on your itinerary is the tranquil Muir Woods National Monument. Stepping into this ancient grove is like entering a different world. You’ll have over an hour to stroll at your own pace along the tranquil trails, where the air is cool and the sunlight filters through the canopy in a dappled, ethereal glow. Here, you will be humbled by the sheer scale of the old-growth coastal redwoods, some of which stand over 250 feet tall and have survived for centuries. The quiet of the forest, broken only by the sounds of nature, offers a profound sense of peace and a truly unforgettable connection to a natural wonder. The experience is both a physical and spiritual journey, leaving you with a deep appreciation for this sacred forest.
Following your rejuvenating time in the redwoods, the tour continues into California’s world-famous wine country, a region where a passion for winemaking has been cultivated for generations. You will visit three unique wineries in the Napa and Sonoma valleys, with a diverse range of tasting experiences. You’ll be guided through the estates, learning about the winemaking process from knowledgeable experts and meeting the vintners who pour their passion into every bottle. The wineries on the tour often include a selection from a list of partners such as Mayo Family Winery, Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, and Ru Vango, among others. At each stop, you’ll savor three wine tastings with selected wines produced in the region.
Midday, the tour makes a stop at the historic Sonoma Plaza, where you’ll have time for a relaxing lunch (not included in the tour price). You can choose from the many boutique shops and restaurants that surround the charming square, or if you’ve opted for the lunch package, you can enjoy a multi-course meal paired with wines. As the day winds down, you’ll enjoy a scenic ride back to San Francisco, with a final photo stop at the Golden Gate Bridge, capturing the perfect moment before being dropped off at your hotel. This tour is a comprehensive and unforgettable way to experience two of Northern California’s most iconic landscapes and its celebrated wine culture in one seamless journey.

August 4, 2025 at 5:03 pmGood, but there was no audio guide, and there were people in the group who didn’t speak English, so I don’t think they got as much out of the trip as they had hoped.

July 25, 2025 at 5:05 pmThis trip was beyond incredible and Brian was the warmest, funniest and most informative guide we could have asked for. We covered so much ground, learned a great deal and got to experience a combination of excellent wine, the spectacular Muir Woods and made some other sightseeing pit stops. Overall it was highly productive and the bus tunes added to the vibes. :)))) Will 100% explore other tours with this company in the future. Special thanks for Brian for being so cool.

July 21, 2025 at 5:07 pmThis tour was amazing! Alberto our guide was just incredible at giving us useful information along the way about all the different stops and providing great humour to go with it. I wished I could’ve stayed in Napa & Sonoma longer! The wineries were all unique and different in their own way. Don’t bother with the included lunch – the lunch stop has so many good options around and it’s a perfect excuse to explore, rather than being limited to your options. Would recommend this tour to everyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
