The Tour

Discover the timeless allure of Northern California’s wine country with an unforgettable full-day tour of both Napa and Sonoma Valleys with a lunch time at Sonoma square. This guided journey offers a seamless and luxurious blend of world-class winemaking, stunning scenery, and rich history. Your adventure begins with a departure from San Francisco, crossing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge and leaving the urban landscape behind for the serene, rolling hills of America’s most celebrated wine regions. The transition is a visual feast, as the misty city gives way to sun-drenched vineyards.

As the tour progresses, you’ll be treated to a comprehensive exploration of both Napa and Sonoma, two distinct yet equally magnificent regions. While Napa Valley is famed for its grand estates and bold Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma exudes a rustic, laid-back charm, specializing in elegant Pinot Noir and Zinfandel.

You will visit three carefully selected wineries, each offering a unique and authentic experience. These stops range from intimate, family-owned estates where you can hear the personal stories of the winemakers, to larger, renowned operations boasting magnificent cellars and extensive grounds. At each winery, you will gain an insider’s view of the winemaking process, from the initial grape cultivation to fermentation and bottling.

The highlight of each visit is the opportunity to participate in multiple premium tastings, savoring the distinct characteristics of celebrated wines from both Napa and Sonoma. An expert and friendly guide will accompany you throughout the day, sharing fascinating stories about the history of winemaking in the region, from the early Spanish missionaries to the modern-day vintners who have made this area a global sensation. Midway through the tour, you’ll have ample free time to explore the charming and historic Sonoma Square. The Sonoma Square is not just a park; it’s the largest plaza of its kind in California, a historical landmark at the heart of the city that once served as the final stand of the Bear Flag Revolt. Here, you can take a break for lunch at one of the many cafes or restaurants, offering everything from gourmet sandwiches to local cuisine. You can also browse unique boutique shops, art galleries, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of the plaza. This stress-free excursion ensures you can relax and indulge, with roundtrip transportation and all wine tasting fees included, making it the perfect way to experience the best of both worlds.

The wine tasting experience in Europe and Italy is light years away from what they mean here in America. Only Madonna gave us some information about wine production; otherwise, it was just tasting wine, not wine tasting, while admiring a beautiful view or sitting in the cool shade of a porch. Marco, the tour guide, was great.

The vineyard experience could be improved with a more informative tour. At Shutter, we were only given a free walk around the garden, and at Napa Cellars, although we were provided with a more comprehensive service, the driver took us away from the talk.

Great day with ample time in Sonoma for lunch. The 3 vineyards were all very different. Madonna gave 5 drinks and showed the barrel room and explained how to taste wine. Ru Vango gave 3 wines and less explanations but you could sit between the vines and the art on display was amazing. Kline gave 5 wines and designated area outside or inside to taste. Some explaining given regarding the wine. All in all it was a lovely day. The bus driver gave a very informative tour on the way to Napa
