When you choose a Valpolicella private experience at Corte Borghetti winery, you are not merely booking a tasting; you are stepping into a narrative that has been preserved by the Borghetti family for generations.

The adventure begins with a walk through the lush vineyards that surround the 17th-century manor house. This setting provides the perfect backdrop to understand the unique microclimate of the Valpolicella Classica zone. Your guide will explain how the limestone-rich soil and the gentle breezes from Lake Garda influence the native grapes. During this Valpolicella private experience at Corte Borghetti winery, you will see firsthand the dedication required to maintain these historic vines, ensuring they produce the concentrated flavors necessary for high-quality viticulture.
One of the most captivating segments of the Valpolicella private experience at Corte Borghetti winery is the descent into the ancient cellars. These barrel rooms, dating back to the 1600s, hum with a silent energy as the wine matures in large oak casks. The cool, damp air carries the scent of aging wood and fermenting fruit, creating an atmosphere that feels frozen in time. Exploring these depths allows visitors to grasp the patience involved in crafting the region’s signature styles, particularly the complex drying process known as appassimento.
The culmination of your Valpolicella private experience at Corte Borghetti winery takes place in the elegant tasting room. Here, the family’s liquid heritage is poured into your glass. The tasting typically features a curated selection of the estate’s finest labels, ranging from the bright and spicy Valpolicella Classico to the rich, velvet-textured Ripasso. However, the true star of any Valpolicella private experience at Corte Borghetti winery is the Amarone. This powerhouse wine, known for its depth and longevity, reflects the soul of the Marano valley. Each sip reveals notes of dried cherries, dark chocolate, and subtle tobacco, refined by years of careful aging.
To complement the wines, the Valpolicella private experience at Corte Borghetti winery includes a selection of local artisanal products. Savoring Monte Veronese cheese and traditional cold cuts alongside the wines enhances the tasting, highlighting the natural harmony between the land and the table. This intimate setting encourages conversation, allowing you to ask questions and learn directly from those who live and breathe the winemaking craft.
Choosing a Valpolicella private experience at Corte Borghetti winery ensures an exclusive and personalized encounter away from the crowded tourist paths. It is an invitation to slow down and savor the authentic spirit of the Veneto countryside. 3 weeks agoGreat wine tasting experience including a charcuterie board and lunch options! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Gave us a tour around the family owned farm and answered any question we had!

a year agoThis was the seventh of nine winery visits that were completed over 2 days in the Valpolicella Classico wine region. This was a tightly scheduled tour so we made reservations for the purpose of maintaining our schedule. Our group consisted of 3 but only included 2 active tasters. We seek out reds in our travels but will try other wines. Barbara and Matilda were our hosts for this private winery tour and tasting. They were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic hosts. We selected the light lunch option so the tasting was accompanied by a charcuterie and cheese board, breads & sticks, deserts and coffee - delicious! The wines were all very good and their Valpolicella Superiore was the best tasted of the trip. The property was stunning. We strongly recommend visiting this winery - our hosts, the tour, the setting and the tasting activity were all very good.

8 years agoVery nice experience Barbara and her friend Sabrina made us feel very welcome. The whole new were very nice and they were very generous with the wine pours. The lunch was of excellent quality especially the two jams which had a surprising kick with horseradish. I must admit the jams were my favorite items as they were so unique and delicious. They hosted a wonderful 10k hike into the hills to start the visit and I highly recommend. The views are worth the visit and are included in my photos.

8 years agoVery unique experience! Unlike any winery/tasting I have ever been too. They take you on a hike (approx. 6 miles) so wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Exceptional views of Marano Valley, the Church of Santa Maria Valverde, the Church of Marano, and the surrounding villas. The tasting included a variety of cheeses, meats, and various snacks. The wine is very bold but wonderful! The owner, Barbra, is very friendly as are her colleagues. If you speak English, Sabrina does a fantastic job translating and ensuring that you enjoy the experience.

a year agoThe wine tasting was amazing, and Barbara really made it special. She knows her stuff and has a way of explaining things that’s both fun and easy to follow. From the moment we arrived, she made everyone feel welcome and relaxed. The wines we tasted were all great and everything from fresh white to rich reds, and Barbara gave us some insights about each one. It was both educational and super enjoyable. The space itself was cozy and perfect for the event, with a warm and elegant vibe. Highly recommended!
