“Discover the soul of the French vineyards through a unique perspective with an Alsace organic wine tour at the esteemed Domaine Gueth. Located in the charming village of Gueberschwihr, this experience is far more than a simple tasting; it is an immersive journey into the daily life of Muriel, an independent winemaker who brings a distinct feminine touch to the centuries-old traditions of her estate. As a seventh-generation vintner, Muriel invites you to step behind the scenes and explore a philosophy rooted in passion, family heritage, and a profound respect for the land.
Your adventure begins with an unusual and refreshing walk through the heart of the vineyards. For one hour, you will wander among the vines, learning about the genesis of wine and the meticulous practices of organic farming. This stroll offers a rare opportunity to understand how the terroir and sustainable viticulture shape the character of every grape. Muriel’s approach is deeply personal, emphasizing a harmonious relationship with nature that defines the estate’s identity.
Following the vineyard walk, you will be guided through the cellar and technical facilities. Here, the secrets of the winemaking process are revealed, from the initial harvest to the precise art of vinification. You will see firsthand the tools and techniques used to craft the elegant and distinguished cuvées that have made Domaine Gueth a standout name in the region. The atmosphere is one of authentic human connection, where every question is welcomed by the winemaker herself.
The highlight of the tour is a comparative and commented tasting session. You have the freedom to select between 6 and 10 wines from the estate’s entire range of vintages, tailoring the experience to your own tastes and desires. Whether you are drawn to the crisp notes of a Riesling, the richness of a Pinot Gris, or the aromatic complexity of a Gewurztraminer, Muriel will share the unique history and technical nuances of each bottle. For those who prefer a non-alcoholic option, the estate also offers 100% organic red and white grape juices, ensuring that the experience is inclusive for all guests.
Domaine Gueth is a place where tradition meets a modern, eco-conscious vision. By choosing this Alsace organic wine tour, you are not only treating yourself to world-class beverages but also supporting a sustainable and independent producer. The experience concludes with the opportunity to purchase your favorite bottles directly from the cellar, allowing you to take a piece of Alsace’s feminine winemaking excellence home with you. July 12, 2025 at 9:02 pmFantastic tour of the vineyard with an in-depth explanation of the philosophy and methods Myrial uses for her organic wine production. Two participants preferred sweet wines, so she divided the tasting so that they could taste sweet wines and the others could taste dry and sweet wines. Myrial is very attentive and skilled at communicating her passion and knowledge. Highly recommended.
