Valpolicella and Amarone Wine Tasting Tour from Verona

Meet the guide/driver in the city center, take a seat in a comfortable air-conditioned van, and start to enjoy this relaxed half-day tour in the Valpolicella wine region. During the journey, your guide will tell you about the local wines and the Valpolicella valley.

Then, arrive at a beautiful winery, located in the heart of Valpolicella. Valpolicella is one of Italy’s most important and renowned wine regions, located in the Veneto region, specifically in the hills just north of the city of Verona. Its name, “Valpolicella,” is often thought to mean “valley of many cellars,” a fitting description for this area dotted with vineyards and wineries.

While it produces a range of red wines, Valpolicella is particularly famous for its unique winemaking techniques, especially the appassimento method, which is central to the production of its most prestigious wines: Amarone and Recioto.

Here an expert sommelier will show you the wine cellar and explain the secrets of production and show you how the wine is kept. Afterward, sit around the table to taste some chosen wines, including the great Amarone.
After taking some beautiful pictures in the gardens and vineyards, get back on board the van and make your way to the second winery for another tasting. After the tasting, you’ll head back to Verona.
