Sandwiched between Burgundy and Lyon, Beaujolais is a French wine region renowned for its Gamay grape. This picturesque area, hugging the Saône River, almost exclusively produces red wines known for their vibrant, fruity character. A small amount of rosé and white wine from Chardonnay are also made here.
