A great trip. Chatty and welcoming guide, (J.R) was very knowledgeable without being too much. Stopped at 3 lovely vineyards and learnt quite a bit. The wine was plentiful and the lunch was delicious. Diolch Johny for a lovely day. We got to stop at the whispering wall which was great and saw plenty of kangaroos on the way

Really lovely day! Pick up was right on time, and directly outside our hotel. They were slightly earlier than the time we were originally given but we were warned of this in advance. Would recommend sitting nearer the front of the minibus if you get carsick easily. We didn’t have a full bus (there were 12 of us), which made it easier to pick and choose seats. Kies and Rosenvale tastings were very good. The Turkey flat vineyard felt much more rushed and like a sales pitch (not the fault of the tour, rather the fault of the lady doing the tasting). They seem to capitalise on the fact they have the oldest vines. Lunch was nice though with local produce. You don’t get it until after the second tasting so I would recommend getting a coffee and a snack at the stop in Tanunda. Baden was a great tour guide, giving us information about Adelaide, about the wineries and about wine generally. Thanks for a great day!

A day in wine heaven! What a fabulous day in the Barossa! The tour was the perfect blend of scenic beauty, boutique wineries, and just enough wine tasting to make you feel like a classy grape connoisseur (even if you’re just in it for the cheese board). But let’s talk about the real MVP of the day – our guide, Baden. Not only did he know everything there is to know about the region and its wine (seriously, is there a wine whisperer certification?), but he also saved the day when I got a little… geographically adventurous (read: lost). Like a true hero, he found me and even gave me medicine when a headache tried to ruin my vibe. Baden, you’re a legend! The wineries we visited were charming, high-quality gems – no tourist traps here, just good wine, great views, and plenty of laughs. Honestly, I’d do it all over again just for the views and the vibe.

Brian was a fantastic guide 11/10 service and I really enjoyed his history lessons and knowledge of the area. I think a heartier lunch would’ve been good but the platter was still nice. I went as a solo traveller and still had a great time despite most other participants being couples. Beware that in the Barossa most of the wines are reds!

I cannot recommend this day trip enough – fantastic value for money, really informative and super wineries visited. Our tour guide/bus driver, Russell, was absolutely outstanding and really went above and beyond for our group today!

A fantastic trip to the vineyards. The wineries are well-chosen. Lunch is a delicious specialty platter (the vegetarian version is also very tasty). Three wineries are definitely enough. The stop in Tanunda is really very short; you essentially just walk up the road. It would have been nice to have a bit more time here (perhaps one less winery??). Overall, though, a fantastic experience, and you should definitely drive to the vineyards from Adelaide. Whether you like the wines is a personal preference, but the whole experience is well-done. The guide was great and explained a lot about the area and its history.
