This exclusive experience is not a typical tour; it offers a highly personalized and intimate journey into the heart of Mendoza’s most celebrated tradition: the asado. With your group size limited, you are guaranteed a customized and comfortable exploration of the region’s finest flavors.

The tour typically takes you to a local’s home or a scenic location with views of the Andes. At each stop, you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and a hands-on introduction to the art of the asado. Your professional guide, often a trained host, will lead you through the preparation, sharing fascinating insights into the unique rituals, the various cuts of meat, and the distinct characteristics of each varietal. While the focus is on the iconic asado—an Argentine barbecue—you’ll also have the opportunity to make savory empanadas and other signature dishes. This in-depth approach allows you to truly appreciate the craftsmanship and passion behind every dish.

The undeniable highlight of the tour is a sublime dining experience. Your journey culminates in a multi-course gourmet lunch, perfectly paired with fine wines. Prepared by a talented chef or the host themselves, this feast is a showcase of local gastronomy, using fresh, regional ingredients to create dishes that beautifully complement the selected wines. The setting for this meal is often as breathtaking as the food itself—a terrace with panoramic views of rolling vineyards or the majestic backdrop of the Andes Mountains. This culinary experience elevates the tour into a feast for all the senses, celebrating the best of local culture and hospitality. With convenient hotel pickup and drop-off, this Mendoza asado experience with a local provides a seamless and truly luxurious way to immerse yourself in Argentina’s world-class culinary traditions.

What a guy! Makes you feel like you have known him years. Was only my partner and himself and never felt rushed or like we put him out. Showed us how to cook and explained why he done different things whilst we just spoke like old friends. Food was unbelievable (and the dulce de leche dessert!)

We had a great evening, good food and excellent company. We learned lots about Mendoza and the culture of Asado and winemaking and enjoyed trying 2 different Malbec wines. Nice setting on the rooftop watching the sun go down on a lovely warm evening. Fede was a great host and we were warmly welcomed.
