Mendoza Half-Day Wine Tour with Olive Oil Tasting

Embark on Mendoza Half-Day Wine Tour with Olive Oil Tasting, an enriching half-day tour from Mendoza, a perfect option for travelers seeking to delve into the heart of Argentina’s famous wine and olive oil industries without a full-day commitment. This journey takes you to the picturesque wine regions of Maipú or Luján de Cuyo, where you’ll witness firsthand how a sophisticated system of canals, inherited from the native Huarpes people, has transformed a desert landscape into a lush, productive oasis.

The tour’s primary focus is a visit to two or three carefully selected wineries. Accompanied by a knowledgeable, bilingual guide, you’ll be taken through every step of the winemaking process. From the meticulous cultivation of the vines to the intricate details of fermentation and aging in barrels, you’ll gain a deep appreciation for the craft behind some of Argentina’s most celebrated wines, including the world-renowned Malbec. The experience culminates in guided tastings, where you’ll have the opportunity to sample and savor the unique varietals that define the region’s character.

In addition to the wine experience, the tour includes a fascinating stop at an olive oil factory, another hallmark of Mendoza’s agricultural heritage. Here, you’ll learn about the production of this “liquid gold” and delight in a guided tasting of different premium, locally-produced olive oils. This combination of wine and olive oil provides a comprehensive and authentic taste of Mendoza’s agricultural bounty. The tours often include private, air-conditioned transportation, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing journey through the beautiful vineyard landscapes, all set against the majestic backdrop of the Andes Mountains.

Rose gardens, kayaking, mountain views, food trucks, and people running & doing various activities. It's an energetic, fun park with plenty to see and do & it's well loved. It's a great way to spend an economical day in Mendoza.

Very nice park. You should at least step by if you're around. Having said that, if you are not near nor have time or are willing to get there. San Martin Park is the way to go, much bigger and nicer and near to the Cerro.

It's an impresive place, green gras that invites you to have a picnic and a path for those who love running are two of the atractives of this park. You see people who cares and takes care of the park by only throwing garbage on the garbage cans. It's an excelente place for sports.

Nice tour with clear explanations. About 8 tastings in total of different wines. The visit to the olive grove is also good with tasting of different oils. It’s a good compromise if you don’t have a car. Good value for money.

I didn’t come with high expectations, because I booked the cheapest option that would still allow me to get back into the swing of all things Mendoza wine after a 7-year hiatus. What a pleasant surprise! Comprehensive 5-hour tour with a good contrast between (almost) corporate wine manufacturing (Bodega Lopez) and a more intimate family affair (Don Arturo). We ran into a heavy rain storm after our first stop, and Claudia, our guide, managed to squeeze us into Milllan/Laur’s visitor schedule for an introduction to their vinegar-making process. That was a fun & manageable trip for a quarter of the price of the usual full-day tour. Minor nuisance, there is no lunch included, and little time to grab a bite to eat en route. To be fair, this is mentioned on the website, so come prepared.
